Let's help make Christmas brighter by adopting an Angel from Regency Manor Nursing Home's Angel Tree
For those of you that have been following for a while, you know that as a family, we adopt seniors through the Salvation Army. The reason we do this is because all too often, those that are in a nursing home are either often forgotten because they have no family or their health, or physical limitations make it impossible for nursing home members to be with family during the holidays.
Salvation Army Red Kettle Program
This year we continue to support the Salvation Army Red Kettle Program. You see the kettles just about everywhere, especially if you frequent Walmart. The Kettle workers are very diligent withstanding the cold, wet temperatures in hopes of filling their kettles for the Christmas season and throughout the year.
It would not be the Christmas season if the kids did not stop by the Red Kettles and place what change they were able to conjure up before our trip.
Regency Manor Nursing Home
This year we have joined other families in helping make this Christmas season a special time for the residence of Regency Manor Nursing Home located in Floresville, Texas.
They have an Angel Tree Christmas Project that is currently in full swing. We have decided to adopt two residents this year as Regency Manor has 105. That is a lot of elderly and handicapped people who also are looking for a joyous Christmas.
Won’t You Join In
I would love for everyone of our readers to join in on the fun and help to make this Christmas special for the residents of Regency Manor. If you would like to join our family in helping to make this a special day, here are just some things that the residence at Regency Manor could use.
Gift Ideas
